Calumet 2020

Update: After receiving reassessment notices based on initial estimates of property values, Calumet property owners were mailed letters informing them of any adjustments to their property's Assessed Value due to the effects of COVID-19. Read more about COVID-19 Adjustments to property assessments in Calumet.

Reassessment notices for properties in Calumet were mailed to property owners on Monday, April 20, 2020. These notices contain an initial estimate of a property’s Fair Market Value produced earlier in 2020.

However, due to the significant economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak and the natural disaster proclamation by the Governor of Illinois, the Assessor’s Office will review this initial estimated Fair Market Value for an adjustment.

The Cook County Assessor’s Office is currently in the process of analyzing data to determine any adjustment to these values. Property owners can expect a second mailing with information about this adjustment.
